I guess it is!

Well, guys, it looks like this is it. Time to ride that bronc and see how we fare.

We hit the Super-Awesome Buffet and ate until we all felt lethargic. Then to Wally-World for a few last-minute items (um, chux, vinyl sheet... yeah, we keep thinking we're done and getting rid of those things... silly us) Well, perhaps rather than bronzing baby shoes, we can bronze a vinyl sheet - sort of symbolic of all the kids, right? he.

Yeah.

Um, gotta go switch out some wash, take a shower and lay in bed swearing I'm asleep and getting some rest. I swore to myself I'd not be up when labor started this time, and darned if it didn't decide to start before midnight, just to prove me wrong. Can't win 'em all, but that's okay. We're good to go!

Talk to ya in the morning!
Kiss those babies!

Oh I can't wait to "meet" baby Emily Dy!!! It will be over before you know it and they'll be a month old and chubby and gorgeous and all the labor will be but a faint memory. *happy sigh* You'll be there soon!

I love you and I'm proud of you. I'll put my phone on the charger if you need to talk. Even if it's 3am please call me. And if she's born at ANY time have you or Zorak give me a call - I may call you tomorrow to see if it was a dream but I want to be woken up to great news. :-)

Love you!!!!!

Jess

Oh and for those wanting to know what Chux are, I just gave the rest of mine away to another fellow homebirther. These are Chux pads: http://www.northshorecare.com/images/5101.jpg

They'll look familiar to ANY birthing woman. Very handy for soaking up all the gross stuff so we can enjoy the great "stuff" at the end. :-)

Chux = GINORMOUS maxipad without wings for the bed...LOL

Praying you through, Gal.

And Go Broncos! (Just kidding...the OTHER Broncos!)

Come on, Emily! Be strong and be QUICK!!!!! (Or you get no car.) (That's what I told my son--"One ounce over 8 pounds, you get no car!" He came in at 8 pounds exactly.)

Isn't it maddening how labor seems to kick in RIGHT at bedtime.Last time I labored quietly without informing anyone until about 3 hours before the birth. So nice IMO not to have the midwives worrying over my every move. You can do it! I know you can! Sending good birth energy over the net! Marcella

Couldn't sleep so I got up to see if anything was happening in my imaginary world, and something *is* happening!

I'm praying for a quick, easy and delightful delivery and a wonderful rest of your life with your sweet little girl!

That is so weird.

I posted a comment here last night. I even shared my story about going out to buy the Chux pads at 5.5 centimeters. But the comment is not here.

Oh, how I hope I didn't accidentally leave it on someone else's blog instead.

But I did send soothing, peaceful labor vibes to you all night. Did they work?

Praying for you, Em, the boys and Zorak. Can't wait till you're holding her in your arms, in the Forever Home. Isn't this some sort of major milestone?
