Family Photos

We certainly have no trouble figuring out what to take pictures of at this house!

Smidge delights in keeping track of the "BEEbee!" He plops down anywhere, reaches out and says, "Me? My turn!" I think he's decided this new kid in the house thing is pretty nice. (And no, we haven't been out of our jammies for three days... why do you ask?)

James is awed. Reverential. In love. This is the baby he prayed for. When he was four and hoped for a sister, he wanted to name her, "Beautiful Girl that I Love So Much". I think it fits.

And John got his wish of being the first to hold here. Here he is the morning she was born. He was the first one up and into the room.

And as far as house photos go: here's a quick tour of the one semi-finished bedroom. In that last picture, with John, you can see our expandable insulating foam in the window frame, my lovely - yet unpainted - texture job on the wall, and the view - albeit skewed by the dirt in the window frame - of the back yard. Striped bedding by IKEA. Thank you. :-)

Kiss those babies!

Joy is just bursting out of those photos!

Makes me want to do it all again -- for a minute or two. I think it'll have to be vicarious for now.

Let's see, you've renovated an entire house and had a baby and blogged about it and posted pictures. I've painted the kitchen, decided on a color for the living room (it's the lighter beige-y one) and am falling behind on the writing...

Can you bottle that stuff?!

Oh goody! I've been hoping for more baby pictures! Your boys are so adorable, and it looks like little Emily is cherished by her brothers. She really is lovely.

The window frame is very nice. I'm hoping to see a picture of the foyer someday -- your description of how it welcomes with open arms was great but wants illustration!
Cordially,
Melora

She is such a lucky girl to be loved by all those boys! And, of course, her mama and daddy. ;)

To think of how her brothers will watch out for her and protect her, it brings tears to my eyes! And yet, I imagine she will be quite the tomboy too. How exciting to watch it all unfold!

Dy, they are all GORGEOUS. You make pretty kids, lady. Really, seriously, beautiful kids.

And while you and L were doing all that productive stuff, I was ... um ... yeah ...

Please bottle it? I'm supposed to be moving by maybe April, so have to pack and fix up the house for sale and ... uh ... yeah. if you weren't postpartum, I'd bribe you and Zorak to come show us how this house stuff is done!

(Plus I'd get the added bonus of telling people that "Zorak is coming ...." [cue evil laugh] Not that any of them know who "Zorak" is, it just sounds so wonderfully sinister! Watch out! Zorak is coming!)

You are bringing a constant flow of smiles and brim-top happiness to us with all the pictures and tales. We ALL check in every day. BobBob wants to know every day what Smidge has done lately. I think he is a little envious of the boys, to tell you the truth.

Hey, am I the only one that can't see the house pic? Hmmm

The boys look so BIG next to little Em. They look absolutely awestruck and delighted, just like they sound in the background on the phone. YOu are SO blessed Dy and so is she...

HUGS,

Jess

We all gathered around the computer last night to look at these pictures, Dy. My sons could not understand why I wanted them to look at pictures of someone's baby when I hadn't even met that someone...but then they looked at your boy's faces, read "Beautiful Girl that I Love So Much" and they all melted (-: What sweet, happy, pj'd little boys. I am so, so happy for you all.

Enjoy your pajama days.

Well I've got to say she is the second cutest Emmy I've ever seen!! My Princess would be a bit put out if I called yours the cutest.

The boys are fully head over heels in love with that baby girl. She isn't ever going to have to worry about someone looking out for her is she? Give them all kisses from us and sit down for 5 min. It is an order!

XOXO
