Who Made This Big Mess?

Egads, yes, I know. I know. Hideous, isn't it? Please excuse the absolute car wreck that is my color scheme and template layout at the moment. If I had little orange barrel images, I'd stick them randomly about the page as a warning for navigators that this area is currently under construction.

Code has been printed out.

I've sent out the Bat Signal for help.

It won't be long now, folks.

Thanks for yer patience.

Whoa...great googly moogly.

What a....very...interesting color scheme you've picked out.
Hmmm...for any help it might be,
I have the "Sand Dollar" layout for both my blogs. It was the most adaptable that Ifound withlimited research.
I've tweaked the colors using a hex scheme page.

http://www.december.com/html/spec/color.html
will give you the colors for other codes. (Yes, I had to search for all my pea green goodness.)

OK this seriously freak3ed me out. I rechecked the URL twice before I read anything. It was like knocking on your door and someone else answering. You've got to warn someone not used to change about this kind of thing...LOL

Hugs,
Jess

And there I just thought it was New and Interesting, and wasn't Dy Brave to mess with her lovely blog. I think that the new, multi-colored look makes things stand out nicely (though I did figure you were still tweaking the colors themselves). I'm guessing, since you sent out the Bat signal, that this hasn't been entirely smooth sailing, and that tech-numbskulls with no experts on call might do best to leave well enough alone?

LOL Melora, it's getting there. But no, I send out the bat signal if the wind causes static cling. It's not really an indication of a difficult transition. It's just, erm, challening for me, and my short attention span. Granted, the total lack of code knowledge probably doesn't help, but that's not the bulk of the problem.

G - I take it you missed the mildew green phase of a few hours earlier. ;-) We're gettin' there. Slowly. (Painfully slowly.)

Sheila, the hard part was isolating where some of the colors were actually coming from. It's like they were encrypted for security purposes or something. Totally hidden in the source code. ARGH. But we'll find them, oh yes, we will.

Jess - don't laugh. You're next on the bat signal list - I've got an idea for that blurry picture!

Good luck with the overhaul! Will we see a little Diane Lane-haired doll in your sidebar?

Oh, while you're re-doing the links, "Barking" is at a different address now :)

Wow, I get busy for a couple of days and don't check in here, and look what I miss! All sorts of discussions, color changes . . . man! You're a much smarter and braver woman than I to even attempt to mess with the template, that's all I have to say. If the blog is anything like your house, then I'm sure it will all come together in the end and look beautiful! : )

I checked in earlier and -- Whoa! who is that!!

But I like it...

Can you make the font on the header picture a lighter color? It's very hard to read the words...

Can't wait to see the finished product!
