NewBlogger Question

If you've migrated your blog to NewBlogger (formerly Blogger Beta), and you upgraded your template to the new layout, did you lose your old comments? And how'd your customization hold up? Lost? Shoot me straight! ;-)

TIA,
Dy

The switch was easy...I didn't have any trouble at all, all comments stayed, but if you try to search for one of my older posts, it won't come up. Only the new tagged ones do.

I'll answer.
Posts survived.
Comments survived.
customization was lost...but
you get greater freedom in your customization and it is easier.
Waaaaaaaay easier.

So save your link URLS because the new format inters them differently (You don't have to do HTML code.) and switch on over.

Yes, all of my comments remained.

The 25 extra entries in my Bloglines today tells me that you did the upgrade.

Having tags is the coolest part of the upgrade. Mark all of the Forever house entries, or the Latin entries and such. Actually going back to tag them is time-consuming. And clear the marks between topics or you'll get wrong overlapping tags.

Our remodel will be done tonight! The carpenter will be here to move back the fridge and remove the access key box from the front door.

I went to the New Blogger, but didn't update my template (although I'd love to make it jazzier) because I was scared of losing stuff. Nothing helpful here, but I'm looking forward to reading your comments!

OK, thanks, guys! I migrated, but didn't upgrade the template yet (so Heidi, you may get another barrage of entries in your bloglines - you'd think they'd fix that little quirk, eh? CONGRATULATIONS ON THE REMODEL!! Will there be a photo in my email, perhaps???) ;-)

I lost my customization, but not my ability to search old posts like Jennie.

When you do the work, let me know. I was just about to initiate a "Get me on Dy's sidebar" campaign at my blog, complete with petition. If you're working on it, that would be a good time to start my whining.
