Grrrr.

Well, I guess at least they're leaving the mail box alone for now.

Things have developed a habit of not arriving at our mail box, and it's starting to torque me off a wee bit.

Anniversary or birthday cards - sucked into the abyss. Family calling to see why we didn't mention it. Hmmm, never got here. Sorry.

Our tax refund from two different states from *last year* still haven't arrived. "But it was mailed."

Our tag renewal, just called to find out where that went... "Well, it was mailed."

Add to it the arrival of the fraud form from our bank (credit card stolen last month), and yet, no replacement cards tagging along anywhere within a week's delivery of the form. All processed the same day. "Yep, we mailed it."

Gah. I'm frustrated. And now off to drive all the way into town to pick up our replacement tags because 1) they're WAY WAY past needed, and 2) "If we mail these to you and they don't arrive, you'll have to pay again" - oh, pfft. Yeah, I'd love to cough up that much money *twice* for something I cannot control. *sigh* So, we're into town. This isn't the week I really needed one. more. trip into town.

But it'll be okay. We'll get some mango juice for making squishies after ball practice. Squishies make everything better.

Do you mean that the stuff is being stolen out of your mailbox, or stolen en route by a postal employee? Are you considering getting a p.o. box? Sounds like someone is looking for mail likely to contain checks...

I don't have any idea where it's disappearing! That's what's so frustrating. :-( And yeah, it does sound like somebody's looking for cash. We may have to get a box and see if that helps. The reference to them leaving the box alone was from the bashing it took on New Year's Eve - at least this one's still intact. So that's good. :-)

Ugh!

You know, it sounds like it would be worth it to purchase a PO box that's maybe on Zorak's way home from work. (Maybe in the big city, where they're used to handling mail.)

Probably more expense than you wanted, but you wouldn't have to worry about things not arriving.

Wow, that sounds really frustrating. I agree with Laura - it might be a good idea to get a P.O. box just for awhile to see if that solves the problem. Also, is anyone else in your area having the problem? It might be worth knocking on a few doors to find out. Then you'd have an idea if you were being targeted specifically, or if it was more random.

I hope your trip into town goes smoothly. Btw, what is a squishie?

Yeah, that is totally weird and frustrating. You don't realize how much you take mail delivery for granted until you have problems, at least that's my thought! I just sort of expect everything to arrive without giving it much thought! Grrr. I hope you can get this all straightened out soon.

Yikes! My thoughts are the same as everyone else's, that that is too much stuff to be coincidental (and not unimportant stuff, either), and a word with the manager of your local post office and also a P.O. box might be worth trying. I hope your missing mail turns up!

That sounds SO frustrating. I'm sorry you're having such a problem. :o(

And while I don't know EXACTLY what a squishie is, it still sounds pretty dang yummy.(raising a glass) Here's to P.O boxes and/or mail delivery persons with a shred of decency!

We have been very lucky with our mail lady, actually we have 2 they share the job. Every once in a while we get someone else's mail or someone stops by the house to deliver our mail that went to their house. Good luck and Thom is right, a squishie sounds yummy.

I'd recommend a PO Box as well. We have a long driveway and can't see our mailbox so we've always used the post office. We don't pick up our mail often - perhaps once/week - but at least we know it'll be there.

I think I'd prefer having the mailbox smashed than mail disappearing.

I hope you figure out what's going on.
