Quick Note:

We found a pediatrician! He rocks. We are THRILLED. Not only is he totally competent and well-versed, he is willing to let the parents take the lead, views it as a team thing, and he's open 7 days a week! AND he's on our insurance.

Can I just say I think I'm in love???

That's it. That was all it took today to totally make our day.

Miss Emily has just about doubled her birth weight - she's now at 12 pounds, 12 ounces. She's growing just fine and things look wonderful. Happy little girl. So bright-eyed and sweet, but I am very thankful she is healthy and strong.

I'm off to kiss my babies!!

That's great! Not bad for a random pick, good job. :-)

I love finding medical types that are willing to work as a team. I wish they all could do that.

Great for you! Up till now, we've been blessed with great doctors, but I have yet to find one here that's even decent. In fact, I'm pretty sure they're all quacks! Why they aren't more evenly distributed throughout the military health system is the thing I'm wondering about. Why concentrate all the bad doctors here? I don't know of anyone down here who had a doctor they like.

Congratulations on finding yours!

And how was the nurse who raised her eyebrows over the phone?

Hey that's awesome!

There is nothing better than a doc who you like and can trust- someone on the same wavelength as you.

But... does Zorak know about the love part? Honey, you'd better tell him soon, before you get too far into this thing. ;)

He sounds wonderful--I'm so jealous! I just tried to make Anna's 2 month well-baby appt., and the tech at the clinic told me that although we registered her with DEERS, we didn't follow up and register her with Tricare, so no luck. Grrr. Crazy military health care. So we have to wait for another month or so . . . which is really not so bad, when I think about it. But I know I won't be seeing anyone who will let the parents take the lead, or even perhaps, anyone we will ever see again!

Glad your sweet baby is doing so well. I think this is the first time I've been to your blog, I was looking for other classical homeschoolers.

The value of a great doctor is high! We like ours but our ideas of medicine and parental respnsibility clash a little bit, but he is the best we have for right now. You are blessed!

Oh Dy, that's wonderful! Does he have a brother (or sister)?? :-) We're still searching here.

Have a great day!
