Who Knew?

Zorak knows WAY more about Men At Work (the band, not some random gathering of male union workers) than I thought possible.

He says, "Of course. This is the 80's. Big stuff."

Oh. Of course.

I love that man!

Men At Work (not to be confused with Men Without Hats) gets props for a)teaching me what a combi is and b)putting a jazzy sax solo in the middle of of a pop song. It was all about synth in the 80's and that song (Who Can it Be Now?) gave hope to us Sax players that we could be rock stars too!

And while I'm at it? Zorak gets props for a)appreciating 80's tunes and b) having the COOLest DH nickname in all of Blogville. Is he Zorak around the house or just on the blog? How do you get named after an angry insectoid Supervillian from Space Ghost Coast to Coast? Can you get AK to start calling me Brak?

Is that the group that popularized the phrase: "She just smiled and gave me a vegemite sandwich?"

Ha ha ha! Bud used to say that Men at Work was the next Beatles! I'm not sure he's quite given up on that notion completely.

Funny!

Zorak sounds totally cool! I wore out my Men at Work cassette tape in 1982.. Now I'm showing my age.
