Good, Clean Fun

Adults just don't see the hot summer days the way children do...

I guess that's a good thing...

Because they can help us see it anew,

and you know, that's kind of fun.

Kiss those babies!

Kids are amazing, even when it is 100 degrees outside they still want to stay out running, playing and enjoying life. Until....they become teenagers, then they want to lay around the house complaining it's too hot to leave the house. What can you do? I know, make them mow the yard, that's what we did yesterday and he actually lived to tell about it.

"Thick imperial slices
Melting frigidly on sun-parched tongues
Dribbling from chins;
Leaving the best part,
The black bullet seeds,
To be spit out in rapid fire
Against the wall
Against the wind
Against each other;

And when the ammunition was spent,
There was always another bite:
It was a summer of limitless bites,
Of hungers quickly felt
And quickly forgotten
With the next careless gorging."

Such cute little watermelon pickles they are, too:o)

What wonderful pictures (of wonderful children!)!
I meant to buy a watermelon at Walmart and couldn't fit it in my cart. And now I Really want one!

Great pictures, Dy. They're so freakin' cute.

Is it my imagination, or does The New One favor Zorak quite a bit? Ya know, only without the teeth and hair. :)

Oh Dy, I know I've said this before... but truly, you have the most beautiful children ever! They are just adorable. And oh the things they say... more adore-a-bility.
Thanks for sharing with all of us.
