Christmas Tree Cakes

The boys got their trees decorated. The trees actually turned out much better than I anticipated. James asked if I was going to blog them, so, here they are! The boys worked diligently at their task. (Ignore the boxes in the foyer - that's what passes for Christmas storage in our house.)
Why, yes, yes, they are wearing their pajamas. Sometimes we don't get around to something until it's, well, past bedtime, if I must be honest. :-) Don't they look traumatized?
And then, ta-da! Decorated, happy, semi-delicious trees. I think these silly little trees turned out to be one of the best projects we've done this season. The kids really enjoyed them. (So much so that there are actually a few missing. It seems there is no flat surface in this house that can keep EmBaby from her sugar fix.)
(The boys graciously agreed to let her keep the ones she'd already sucked on. How thoughtful, no?)

Kiss those babies!

Those are so cute!!! How did you make them? I love how Smidge is showing off his tree in the exact same manner as his brother!

We did our Christmas Cookie decorating yesterday. Head over to the blog and vote on your favorite :)

Those turned out wonderfully! Katie is our sugar monster -- it is almost scary to see her in action.

Wow, what a neat project - those turned out really well. I'm sure Emma would love to do that next year. I know what you mean about the sugar fix thing - the words candy and sugar are already firmly fixed in Gregory's vocabulary. Emma, of course, never had anything like that when she was two... ah, the first child misses out on so much. ;-)

Dy, your kids are getting SO big! I love it when you post pictures. Your home is so real and it always looks like a place where I would feel immediately at home. (of course, after you see my post, you may not take that as the compliment that it is intended to be.) ;-)
Love you guys!

Love it! What a difference from the Christmas you were pregnant and working on the house - I mean to make it really livable. (Wasn't Em born after Christmas?) And what a beautiful family - and another baby blessing to come - Merry Christmas!
